Italo I. Machuca Flores is a postdoctoral researcher in the Quantum Internet group. In 2019, he earned the degrees of Physics Engineer and an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Concepción, Chile. In 2023, he received his PhD in Physics, also from the University of Concepción, funded by a national doctoral scholarship from ANID (by the Spanish acronym of National Research and Development Agency). In 2024, he joined the SLAM (Structured Light and Matter) group as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Naples Federico II, where he focuses on entangled photon sources and liquid crystals. He is currently a member of the Quantum Internet research group and contributes to the project “Hardware and software solutions for engineering a quantum computing platform”.
